We're excited to share another week of news & ideas with our MAiZE family. There never seems to be a shortage of ideas and the truth is that some of the best originate with all of you! So, if you ever have an idea you'd like us to pass along to the group, please just send it our way. Also, please remember that we'll be archiving these ideas on the siteowner web site, so that you can go back and view them whenever you like.

Idea of the Week from South Texas MAiZE...

Many thanks to Ken & Laurie Graff in Hondo, Texas for sharing this Idea of the Week...
Last year we were looking for an affordable, but effective alternative to daily deals like Groupon and found our answer with US Family Guide.
Through this online site, powered largely by a network of mommy bloggers, we offered a coupon for October and a different one for November and for an extremely reasonable fee felt like we got a'maze'ing results!
During the two months of our season we had over 14,000 coupons redeemed by customers! And since this was a GENUINE coupon, we did not have a % taken by a 'daily deal' company. We weren't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that the results exceeded anything we'd ever experienced with previous 'daily deal' programs we'd done. This is definitely something we'll repeat this year and wanted to share it with our MAiZE family.
NOTE: US Family Guide will soon be added to our Vendor Directory and you can find their contact info there.

Vendor Message from Evergreen Creations
|
As you finalize your maze designs for fall 2013, please keep these Family-Friendly Attractions from Evergreen Creations in mind to help attract, educate, and entertain your young visitors:
You can create a Spookley the Square Pumpkin themed kiddie maze and unite with farmers, educators, and families worldwide in the movement against bullying. All you need to do is sign up for the Spookley Farm Program and we will work with you to develop Spookley themed attractions (including a Spookley kiddie maze), marketing materials (including educator-focused outreach), and a merchandising program to generate incremental revenue. Spookley is the “Official Spokes-Pumpkin” for National Bullying Prevention Month in October and he has already become a perennial fall-favorite with many members of the MAiZE group – don’t miss your chance to join the Spookley Farm Program today!
NEW FOR 2013! The Fairy Tale Trail, including two brand new stories designed specifically for walk-through readings at the farm: Jack and the Cornstalk and Ciderella. Please read the attached sneak peak at Jack and the Cornstalk for more information or visit our website.
