Greetings and blessings to all,

We're back, and it's lovely to be writing it to you even though this has to be just another brief update.

First off, we'd like to thank the literally hundreds of you who sent us messages of support. They are a great comfort. Several of you said you were going through the same ordeal with a parent - or have done so recently. Our hearts go out to you.

The good news on our end is that while the prognosis is still grim, our visit went off very well. Russ' mom was very happy to see us and she's in good spirits. It was easy to forget how very ill she is. Russ' sister and our brother-in-law are to be commended for the splendid job they're doing of taking care of her 24/7. However, they are tired and we're hoping that we'll be able to go back out and relieve them for a week next month and two weeks in August.

In the meantime, a belated Happy Father's Day and Bloomsday. Also, congratulations to all of the graduates - well done! And a blessed Solstice to you all, today. In the Celtic Calendar, this is midsummer - a magical time when the good people can become visible, lost things might be found, and dreams can come true. So, make a wish.

We'll try to resume a normal schedule as soon as we can.

Slan agus beannacht,

Bridget & Russ
