THE RETURN OF RAINY & THE RATTLESNAKES! - We first heard Rainy & The Rattlesnakes in 2013 when our friend Steve Doud brought them out to one of our shows. They were barely teenagers then but were already accomplished bluegrass pickers. You can see a video of them playing the John Lithgow song, "I Am A Manatee" on our website. Now they are 4 years older and even more accomplished! They will be appearing with us this Thursday, November 2, at the Rising Sun in Telford, PA, and on Friday, November 3, at The Barrel in Phoenixville, PA. Do yourself a favor and don't miss 'em!
KONCERT FOR KARL! - Karl Joseph "K-Jo" Frick is our Mighty Manatees bassist, organist, vocalist, sound man, and recording engineer. He is also a member of the Chord Police. Recently Karl was struck down by several health issues and had to leave his day job and our band for an extended period of time. He is now looking at some serious medical bills. His family and friends have organized a benefit concert for him on Saturday, November 11, at the Rising Sun Barn in Telford, PA. The Koncert For Karl will feature FIVE BANDS! Starting at 6:00 PM in order of appearance:

NEIL YOUNG BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE! - The day after the Karl Koncert is Neil Young's birthday (Sunday, November 12) and we will return to the Rising Sun Barn for our Neil Young Birthday Tribute. We will be playing a whole night of Neil's music with our musical friends. Showtime is 7:00 to 11:00. Last year's Neil Young Birthday Tribute was our best attended birthday show of 2016. MANATEES FUN FACT: Did you know that Neil Young & i went to the same high school? It's true! But not at the same time. We went to Kelvin High School in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada (it's still there), and in 1985 i got to meet Neil in Winnipeg backstage at one of his shows. His grandmother lived in Flin Flon, Manitoba. It's true!
MIGHTY MANATEES POST-THANKSGIVING SHOW! - The day after Thanksgiving we will be playing at the Bridgeport Ribhouse in Bridgeport, PA from 9 - 1. During the first set we will be joined by my 13 year old daughter, Fiona who will be singing a few songs with us.

2ND ANNUAL BEAUTIFUL VISION OPERA SHOW! - On Sunday evening, November 26, we return to the Rising Sun Barn. Mystic Vagabond Productions will present the Beautiful Vision Opera Show starring Deb Callahan, Allen James, Josh Kanusky, Brett Andrew, Randy Wagner, John Devin, Fiona Hodgson, and myself. There will be four sets of songs each dealing with a different theme. Showtime is 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Special thanks to Slacker.
