Last week's Print Competition results unfortunately contained an error/omission: Jason Eastham's print, "Anyone For Fishing?", slipped the net (sorry) and wasn't mentioned in the list of HCs in the Advanced Section. Hopefully this has set things right and Jason's well deserved point will be added to the League Table.

The closing date for the Projected Image Competition Round 2 is Wednesday 8 November, this round will be judged by Rob Ryan FRSA ARPS. Don't forget the new rule for the Advanced section regarding the third image; the prescribed category for this round is Street/Candid. STILL ONE PLACE LEFT for the next Studio Group meeting. This will be for beginners next Monday 30 October starting at 7pm and will be a 2-hour session. It will be covering portraits with the model Poppy, the cost will be £15 payable on the night.
To sign up, please follow this link to a Doodle Poll; the event is limited to 6 photographers, first come first served. If Nick gets more than 6 participants he will arrange an additional session so please sign up even if the event appears to be full.
By popular demand, Nick will be organising two types of session from now on: Beginners will be for people who do not feel they are confident using the studio equipment in terms of setting the lights, directing the model etc. and there will be six participants at each session. Advanced sessions will be spread over a day with no more than two photographers at a time, who will be able to arrange their own lighting set up and bring their own props etc.

Various New Clifton Cameras have a raft of events coming up in the near future, from Nature to Studio, Motor Sport to Printing. If you are interested, or want to read more, just follow this link to their website. 10 Nov Kingswood Photographic Society warmly invites you to view their 68th Annual Exhibition of members’ prints and digitally projected images on Friday 10 November from 7.00pm until 9.00pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley BS30 5JJ. This evening is an opportunity to see a display of their members’ images which will include photographs of their own choice together with those selected by our judges who were: Mike Birbeck FRPS, FBPPA, FDPS, Sandie Cox ARPS, DPAGB and Martin Fry FRPS, AFIAP, AV_AFIAP, BPE3*, APAAGB.  The awards have already been decided and will be handed out at the end of the evening. Kingswood PS meets on Friday evenings at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ.  Normally the cost for non-members is £3.00 but tonight entrance is free and the refreshment drinks and biscuits are courtesy of KPS.
