After a wicked night with Steve Lawler and Dave Brody rocking it, we are glad to be back with a very special musical line up that will probably rock even more. Introducing the very fine underground house sounds of Paris born and Berlin Resident Alexkid, known for his masterpiece album Laurent Garnier his Fcommunications imprint. His Candeza lab album for Luciano's Cadenza and his releases on Radio Slave's Rekids imprint. It shows the great skill and quality of his wide spectrum of House Productions. This also goes for the Reunion island born but Paris rooted circus company and supplement fact producer Seuil. rocking floor globally from Miami to Circo Loco Ibiza and working and remixing with greats like dOP, Baby Ford and Sammy Dee to name a few. Team Records celebrates his 5 year anniversary presenting an exclusive not to be missed live performance by the head honcho and main producer Philogresz also knows for production on labels such as Bedrock, Ware, Phil, Treibstoff but also Sound Architecture. he recently got signed also to Speedy J's Electric Deluxe label so the Future is looking bright..

But this is just a fragment of what we have in our musical dance store for this special Sound Architecture edition, Cause also from Berlin we bring Highgrade producer and wicked dj Daniel F.X. plus Martin Konig alongside our kick ass team of residents Joachim, BP, Arne and Veebo..

Biography: Seuil

Seuil is that kind of mysterious artist, ones know he’s talented, great DJ, authentic producer, but remained underestimated for a while within the international deep house landscape. And all of this inspite of some high level releases on Minibar, Moon Harbour, Lessizmore or the late lamented Dan Ghenacia’s Freak N Chic that sadly closed down a few months ago. But the release of his first album « Chamaeleonidae », last year, seemed to finally give to his productions a first sign of recognition. While the trend is obviously to release deep house as boring and consensual as possible, getting more and more unvaried and dully, Seuil (and his stooges) finally brings a breath of fresh air to this scene, using nice and complex drums, percussions, ambiances and melodies thoroughly composed and handled.

This sphere he created and made concrete, not only he transmits it through his records, but also on his label Eklo: its latest release (Prostitute) in collaboration with dOP was a huge success, and finally gave to this young label a strong and stable position. By the way, you should know Seuil recently started a new project with his buddy Le Loup , a brand new label called Hold Youth, only based on vinyl releases and a wide range of musical genres, from disco to house, and even hip-hop. We’ll certainly know a bit more about it in the forthcoming months.

Concerning his solo projects, a new EP will be out very soon on Circus Company and another one on Ultrastrech (Sammy Dee’s new label), there’s also a remix for the next Lee Foss coming on Culprit and a couple of other records are announced later this year on Supplements Facts and Hello Repeat. A quite filled agenda, considering he is also currently working on his new album even if nothing has been officially announced so far.

Between two studio sessions, he always managed to find some time to deliver huge mixes, seductive and captivating. If you still don’t know Seuil, it’s time for you to get to know him.

Biography: Alexkid

From roots in early nineties Parisian rave culture, this multi instrumentalist, composer, remix artist, DJ and sound engineer has set on a formidable trajectory since Laurent Garnier invited him to put out his debut single, ‘Playground’, in 1997. Alongside definitive producers like St.Germain and Mr.Oizo, Alexkid spent many years as a flagship artist for Garnier’s F Communications label, playing a pivotal role in sculpting the profile of French electronic music both at home and abroad while developing his own inimitable identity. Refining his production skills over three critically lauded albums, Alexkid has mastered a kaleidoscopic range of styles from his early experiments with Drum and Bass, Nu Acid and Electro to the sparse House and Dub textures he is best known to weave today. His 2001 debut album of Funked up House, ‘Bienvenida’, compiled some of the best tracks from earlier single releases, including a collaboration with Austrian downtempo master Dorfmeister. The early success of these diverse and accomplished productions would prove prophetic of what was yet to come. 2003 saw the release of deep electro house single ‘Come With Me’, featuring the vocals of New York artist Liset Alea. A slick and seductive cocktail of stuttering beats and sultry pads, the track made it’s way onto numerous mixes and compilations, also being reinterpreted by Brett Johnson and Canadian electro mogul Tiga in a series of remix EP’s on F Communications. Leaving no time for dust to settle, his sophomore album ‘Mint’ firmly embedded Alexkid in the electronic landscape. Spearheaded by the singles ‘Come With Me’ and ‘Pick It Up’, the record was unanimously well received by critics and artists alike, and provided ample material for Alex to tour Europe throughout the following years. An electronic missionary, Alexkid has taken his epic live arrangements and inventive DJ sets to the four corners of the map and everywhere in between, transferring his early infatuation with the live spectacle into moist celebrations of the moment. Connection is key, and Alexkid’s intuitive interpretations of other artist’s music extends far beyond the DJ booth. After ending five years of residency in Berlin's Weekend club, he has finally moved to the German capital where he's now set his base at Water-gate club. In demand as a remix artist, he has lent remixes to everyone from Damian Lazarus to George Michael, cultivating a collaborative understanding that is no more present than in the minimalist pop leanings of his 2006 album ‘Caracol’. Alexkid tamed his ecstatic compositions into works of profound balance and precision. Working as much with the absence of sound, punches of silence punctuated slick productions in a body of work that simultaneously complimented both dance floor and kitchen floor. With a collaboration with Berlin minimal troupe M.A.N.D.Y in the works, as well as forthcoming releases planned on both Cadenza , Rekids and NRK and a remix for TEAM Records.

Biography: Philogresz Live

“His sound is moody, melodic, jazzy and organically composed; yet it is arrogantly arranged techno with absolutely no boundaries…

A match made in heaven: after a multitude of releases on labels like Ware, Treibstoff, Bedrock, Sound Architecture, Third Wave, and many others, Philogresz a.k.a Ilker Soylu is rooted firmly on the intelligent electronic music scene with his organic and evolving musical composition. The Dutchman‘s (w/ Turkish roots) complex, yet straightforward grooves blend in smoothly in his livesets as he keeps the diversity and energy on the steady level. Still, the artist explores new grounds over and over again. One can still hear the jazzy past, but even those influences went all the way from mere ornamentation to functional pizazz. Having a background as studio manager and label head, he does not lose himself in muddy plug-in mania like so many others do and keeps a steady and conceptual, just like his character…Lend an eye on him as he is getting closer to your speakers each and everyday slowly but surely…

Sound Architecture keert na een lange tijd afwezigheid terug naar de Havenstad waar het ooit allemaal is begonnen. Van benevelde kelders onder de Cinerama gevuld met stroboscopen en rook en de wekelijkse clubavond ON in Off Corso tot events in het NAI en Stubnitz. Menig muziekliefhebber die in de hoogtij dagen Rotterdamse feesten bezocht hoorde, of ontdekte, zijn favoriete DJ op een Sound Architecture evenement.

Het was dan ook in 2006 dat Cocoon voor het eerst naar de Maassilo gehaald werd door Sound Architecture. Waar in de grote zaal natuurlijk Sven Vath heer en meester was, werd in de tweede zaal voor het eerst de Roemeen Raresh voorgesteld aan het publiek. Vanaf de eerste plaat werd deze Roemeen in de warme Rotterdamse armen gesloten en was dat optreden de start van een reeks memorabele optredens van Raresh in Nederland.

Naast deze hoofd act vanjewelste biedt deze avond ook nog een reeks toppers van nu én toen. Namen als Jay Samuel en Joachim zullen de liefhebbers die wat langer mee draaien doen terugdenken aan de ‘goede oude tijd’. Maar gelukkig is er ook een ‘goede nieuwe tijd’, die vertegenwoordigd wordt door artiesten als Taras van de Voorde, Nino & Frankie, BP en Kadir Pelit. Verdeeld over twee zalen van deze geweldige locatie met een enorme chillout/rookruimte in de hal, vormt dit een geheel dat staat als een huis.
