Mighty March in the Garden....Nothing Compares!

This is the time you begin to see the possibilities of what is already there. Leftovers from last year’s creations; little sprigs of green working hard to visit a new year, a new month, perhaps a new purpose.

Much attention is on "Green" and that is a very good thing.

"From the soil to the table" is finding a place in conversations all around the globe. It's truly a subject that has no barriers, people from all walks of life are taking notice of the option to have a choice, a say in what becomes a part of their body, mind, spirit, and their earth.

Everything we put on and into our body is processed or filtered by the liver, lungs, or kidneys. Organic is best, not only for our overall health, but for the planet as well.

Since the earth is the mother supplier of our total existence, does it not seem imperative to treat her with loving care?

Organic and Fair Trade farming does not pollute our soil, water, and air.

Organic growing focuses more on the feeding and health of the soil than on the plants.

Growing organic and alternating a variety of plants will produce an “eco-system" that will maintain a healthy balance. A healthy balance does not attract unhealthy life, it all works together to make whatever we promote.

Sage Hill Farms is working diligently to be as healthy and toxic free as our efforts will allow. While we grow a variety of vegetables for our own use, herbs are the main crop, not only for our own use but they are our business as well. When you use products from Sage Hill Farms you can know that you are getting no chemicals from any source.

Are you aware that more than 25% of the world’s insecticides and pesticides are sprayed on the earth?

Cotton crops are a huge user of these chemicals. When we buy one garment or product made from organic cotton we are saving the earth at least 1/3 pound of chemical assault.

So here we are, the beginning of Mighty March, the month to ponder and make choices. Let's spend a few moments thinking of places where we can make changes, this for that, discard, replace, and invent a healthier and more stable world for ourselves, our children, and those who will come after us.

Above all, Mother Earth will be forever grateful for the small or the mighty things we do now.
