Notes from the Farm - 2008-Ponderings

Well, most people are talking about their New Year's resolution. I personally don't have one, but I think they are ok if that is what one needs to get motivated.

I also don't buy into "starting over" I think we simply regroup, make a new plan designed by removing the things that didn't work for us before. Find a new starting point and add another chapter.

There is always something good to hang onto from yesterday's not so perfect plan.

So, with that being said, let’s go into 2008 with good energy, a positive outlook, faith in whatever sustains us, and goodwill toward all.

Around the farm, there are many projects to be finalized, it's always a rebirthing here, I happen to like change and feel the need to constantly improve and revamp whatever is already there. Another few rose bushes in the bed, or maybe another bed entirely.

A bed of cutting flowers this year (hubby’s idea) he is really the flower expert around here.

These are springtime projects but it is never too early to start thinking about the how’s, where’s, and why’s of any addition.

My favorite pastime is to find a comfy spot with a good cup of tea or coffee and a project pad... oh... the joy of dreaming and watching those dreams come to life.

I must reflect a bit back to 2007, so many awesome things happened in our business.

New accounts, new friendships, and many new ideas.

Sage Hill Farms could not and would not exist without the support of each and every one who has been or will become a customer. You all have our heartfelt gratitude. Thank you.

Some worthy notes to share

Green Living is fast becoming a way of life for many. If you aren't familiar with the things to embrace within this idea, please feel free to contact me and we will chat about your level of interest and how you can pull it all together to make it an easy and comfortable transition.

You may also familiarize yourself with WE magazine, where I am the Editor of a GreenWise column.

WE is an international Digital Business & Lifestyle Magazine that debuted in 2006 and is already a very big success. It is also the outcropping of the well known and successful network of Heidi Richards The "WECIA".

The weather is cold and for many it's prime time for colds and flu... it's important to keep tabs on our good health ... you can do this by working on building a strong and well functioning immune system. Drink lots of good herbal tea and add herbal seasonings to your food choices.

Sage Hill Farms can help you decide what is best for your needs if you are unsure.

Visit the website and if you need help, just give me a ring or an email, I'm always available within a few hours.

If you need recipes in herbal cooking, then visit the Beatitudes , lots of good ideas there.

A Doggie Note

When thinking of your dog's health, remember that there is wonderful herbal and natural foods and meds for them too.

Also remember that the Kidney Organ System appears to be the area of the greatest weakness, due to the nature of a dog’s activity level and elevated metabolism.

One example is larger dogs living less years and showing weakness or problems in the rear leg and hip area.

Dogs suffer from many of the same ailments as people, joint pain etc. So be sure to keep your pets sheltered from the harsh cold and feed and water with winter needs in mind.

Wishing you all a very Joyful January and a 2008 that will be a year for the record.
