Eileen Risser of Portland, OR made this bee-youtiful Wrapsody for her sister. Eileen chose this fabric because her sister is known as Mrs. Bee. :)
Debra Clarin said that she bought her Lollapalooza pattern some time ago knowing she'd use it if and when she found the
right six men's neckties for it, and I'd say she definitely did, right?
:)
And this outstanding DittyRoo was created by Mary Warman of nearby Clemmons, NC.
And how about this? The fabric came from a thrift store! Mary said she
enjoys carrying it especially since she has room for extra things like a
book and an occasional snack! :)
Joan Dost of Ladysmith, WI created this beauty. She said that she's been wanting to create a black & white bag for
sometime now, so she purchased her fabric and waited for the right
pattern to come along and when she first saw the Gadabout pattern she knew the waiting was over. Here's a peek at the back.
Suzy Broussard of Ruston, LA chose to use home decorating fabric for her Uptown Saddlebag. She loves how the heavier fabrics wear so much better! And I love the little zipper pulls Suzy made from beads and ribbon, so cute! :) |
And this incredible Baggalista was created by Karla Strauss. Karla said that midway thru making her bag she got the hair-brained idea to strip-piece the flap! She loves the look and everyone asks her about her handbag. No surprise there! Right? :) |
And this dramatic Wrapsody was created by Alma Lou Annab of Ammon, Jordan. Alma used Jenny Beyer fabric for the exterior & lining sections, but raided her stash for the bias tape! Here's a peek at the INSIDE!
And isn't this a spectacular Quattro? It was created by Patty Shirk of Lawrence, KS. Patty said she's had this fabric for some time and finally found the perfect use for it!
And this impressive Baggalista was submitted by Brinkley Rayne who says this is actually one of the first bags she's ever made. I love
the fabric combination she chose and especially the way the flap is
"framed"! Great job Brinkley! :)
And last but not least I present an "Amy Butlerized" Guardian created by Holly Guerra of San Angelo, TX. Both fabrics used are part of Amy's "Love" collection and it looks fabulous on this bag, no? :)

A little over a year ago we added a cool zipperpull to our site and it's been a very popular item... so now that the stock is getting low we decided to maybe add a new color for some diversity!
We decided on pink in honor of all of our friends & family who have had to battle this formidible enemy AND we'll be donating $1 from the sale of every pink zipperpull to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. To get YOURS, click here!

It's zebra print with shiny Nickel teeth---Our
customers have been clamoring for a zipper with a shiny silver zipper
pull and teeth! A perfect match for our shiny silver hardware. But now that it's here... It just seems a little TOO similar to our b&w striped zip and I'm a disappointed in them. They just don't
look the way I had envisioned them. Oh I like 'em, but I'm not sure I
want them to be a permanent addition to our line. So...We're having a CLOSEOUT SALE!
These
new zips are now in stock and available on our website at a DEEP discount price, but I doubt
we'll be reordering them! So, click here grab a handful for YOUR next project!
- 10" closed bottom= $1.50
- 12" separating= $2.25
- 16" separating= $2.50
- 22" purse zipper (2 zipper heads)= $3.00

to take advantage of these great prices before they're gone for good!

The girls behind Sassafras-Lane Designs describe themselves as a crazy creative Mom-Daughter duo who run on coffee, create in an orange studio and have so many ideas running through their heads that they just don't have enough time to get them all made. I lilke their fresh, modern take on quilting & I invite you to take a look at their patterns! My favorite quilts are Wiley Way and Picadilly Circle. And while you're

Today is Sunday, the 10th day of May 2015. It's the 130th day of the year and there 235 days remaining! There's also two very famous entertainers celebrating birthdays today as well! Fred Astaire was born on this day in 1899. WOW! I had no idea he was born in the 19th century, and Paul Hewson (otherwise known as Bono, the lead singer for the Dublin-based band, U2) is 55 today! And if today is also YOUR birthday, here's a great, big "Happy Birthday to YOU" from all of us at StudioKat Designs, and if today is not your birthday, you can celebrate the day anyway by watching this amazing dance sequence with Fred Astaire and Rita Hayworth, OR, by watching this U2 video of my favorite Bono tune, " Stuck in a Moment".
Well, that's it for now, so until next month, remember! It's a GREAT day to be sewing!
