There were many police vehicles in the parking lot this morning. We did an extensive search of the facility with both K-9 units from the Newaygo County Sheriff's Department. Nothing illegal was found, but we did have a number of "hits." Medical marijuana has made searches more interesting as the smell permeates clothing and bags. The dogs alert on even the lightest of smells. The good news is that the entire facility was deeply searched and nothing was found. That doesn't mean that the K-9 units are done with their work. They could come back this afternoon, tomorrow, Wednesday, or whenever they want. They have an open invitation at Fremont High School.
