This is the time of year when students get uneasy about their lives compared to other students. The holidays bring stress to many of our students who are struggling. Please let us know if you hear of any student who is going through some low times during the holidays.

Tomorrow, I get the honor of leading the district's new teachers on a tour of Fremont while teaching them about the history of Fremont. I've got my rough outline written. It includes the history of the city, the school system, and Gerbers. I also included the economic decline over the years. What else should I include? What areas should we visit? I only have an hour on the bus tour so I have to be pretty focused on the travel. Let me know what you are thinking.

Thursday is going to be a cool day. Save-A-Life Tour is coming to FHS with their program on distracted and impaired driving. They are bringing in simulators for our juniors and seniors to experience. The students will feel what the impact is when driving and texting and driving while under the influence. The Fremont Police Department and the Newaygo County Sheriff's Department will also be on hand to work with the students. It should be a great learning day!
