This is a volunteer or unpaid internship position based out of San Fransico. Use your marketing experience, creativity and initiative to help promote and grow SFRAW. Must have experience marketing across all media (print, email, social media/web) and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess a desire to learn, contribute, and think innovatively. Develop relationships with like-minded groups, individuals or businesses to promote shared goals and interests – coordinating mutually beneficial projects, programs or events. Manage and maintain our Twitter, Facebook, Yelp, and other media outlet feeds. If qualified to do so, rework/design the website and promotional materials. Be the primary point of contact for media inquiries, expertly managing our group's public image; write and release Press Releases; identify and establish new appropriate outlets where SFRAW could be featured or given exposure. Organize SFRAW’s involvement at special events; act as the primary representative of SFRAW at all of these events (working with SFRAW Ambassadors). This job would be primarily a telecommuting position with frequent work in/around the San Francisco Bay Area and occasional time spent in the San Francisco warehouse office.
