September is a special month for ReBelle because that is when we first opened our shop back in 2006. Every year we have an anniversary celebration and this year is no different, except that this year we are having TWO, a spooky Friday the 13th party on Friday the 13th and our regular anniversary sale with 10% off your entire purchase, a special yarn, and door prizes on Saturday the 14th, check out the full details below.
Also, we are taking another round of T-shirt orders, this time with a new color - Lapis - that is gorgeous, but was not available last time. We will also be taking orders for long sleeved shirts, available in both Deep Teal and Navy. Extended sizes, long sleeve shirts, and non-navy colors are ONLY available if you pre-order a shirt. We will be accepting pre-orders in the shop until September 30th or you can place your order online here.

This year ReBelle is turning 13, and September has a Friday the 13th so we decided to celebrate with a party!! So on Friday, September 13th we will reopen the shop at 7pm with haunting music, scary treats, and vintage ReBelle prizes. There won't be a sale, but we will be unveiling 18 skeins of yarn that we have dyed up from our Secret Stash, the yarns range from fingering weight to bulky and are priced at $3, $10 and $13 and there is a limit that night of 2 skeins (mini skeins not included in limit). Come join us to celebrate our 13 years of business! |
On Saturday, September 14th we will be having our regular anniversary sale with 10% off your entire purchase and a special yarn we have dyed. Our Anniversary yarn this year is a Superwash Aran weight Blue Faced Leicester with 181 yards per 100g. It's got three plies, a subtle sheen and wonderful bounce. We have 65 skeins and it will be on sale for $10 per skein with a limit of one per crafter. If you are looking for something to do with one skein of this yarn, here are some great patterns that will work: Lambing Mitts, Skin and Bones (Hat), Twist Hat, Super Slouch, MS Slouch, Troll (Kid's Hat), Nora Cable Knit Hat, Solid Shell Stitch Cowl, Deep Creek (Cowl). |
Our Yarn of the Month for September will be Cestari 2-ply wool, both the Merino and Traditional Wool versions. These yarns are both woolen spun, 2-ply yarns with 170 yards per 100g skein. They are fantastically warm and make great sweaters, mittens, hats, leg warmers or blankets. These Aran weight yarns work great with any of the patterns listed above for our anniversary yarn and they will be 10% off all month long. (That's 19% off during the anniversary sale since you get an additional 10% off everything that day!!) |

Koigu Pencil Box KAL
Thursdays, September 5, 12, 19, & 26
For September's Knit Along we will be doing something a little different. Instead of picking a pattern that we all knit together, we are picking a yarn. Over the summer we added Koigu's Pencil Boxes to our yarn offerings. The Pencil Boxes are curated color boxes of Koigu Painter's Pallet yarns- 10 colors, 25 grams each with incredible pattern support. We are absolutely in love with them!! Grab a box, pick a pattern, and join us for some Thursday afternoon knitting (or crochet if you chose the chrochet pattern.)
All ReBelle knit alongs are free and open to the public. You are welcome to attend as many or as few of the KAL sessions as you like.
The patterns can be viewed on Ravelry and bought in the shop the week before the KAL begins.
View the first collection here and the second collection here.

Go To Hat CAL
Fridays, September 6, 13, 20, & 27
For September we will be crocheting the Go To Hat by Alessandra Hayden. This hat was designed to be crocheted with one skein of Malabrigo Rios, a ReBelle favorite, so it seemed the perfect pattern to kick off the fall knitting season. It is also an excellent way to practice crocheting in the round and to learn some new crochet stitches.
This project is fairly quick on an H & I crochet hook with 100g of Malabrigo Rios, but if that yarn doesn't fit your style we have several other compatible yarns for this pattern. It is also the perfect hat to embellish with one of our many faux fur pom poms.
All ReBelle crochet alongs are free and open to the public. You are welcome to attend as many or as few of the CAL sessions as you like.
The pattern can be found on Ravelry or free in the shop.

In this class Susan will walk you through the pattern including the small circular cast on, working with dpns or addi Flexi Flips, and teach you how to do yarn and needle substitutions to change up the bag. It doesn’t take long to knit, and would be a great holiday gift to have in hand.

Knit with Geometry
Teacher: Emily O'Brien
Escape from knitting straight lines, Modular Knitting allows you to create angles and shapes that are impossible via standard knitting methods. You can create unique geometric patterns and free form shapes by using this method. This introductory class will give you all the skills you need to be a Modular Knitting pro by the end of class. If you are scared of Modular Knitting because you don’t like seaming, have no fear, we will go over different techniques for picking up stitches along the edges of modules. We will use my Geodesic Hat design as an example for the class to learn the basics of modular knitting, talk about construction methods, fix troubleshooting problems, and you will be able to confidently complete the hat on your own after class. We will also go into some ideas to take your modular knitting further in the future!
Materials needed are 230 yards DK weight yarn, US5 16” circular needle (or US5 for magic loop), US5 dpns (or US5 for magic loop), stitch markers if you are using Magic Loop method.

This colorful crochet square uses varying stitches and colors to create a beautiful motif. A perfect use for brightly colored scraps from your stash or the perfect excuse to acquire some colorful new skeins. In this class you will learn how to organize your yarns and colors, the ins and the outs of the crochet stitches involved in the pattern, sizing the squares for your bag, and finishing everything to create the final tote.

Granito Sweater
Teacher: Dorothy Apple
The Granito Sweater by Joji Locatelli is sure to be your next favorite sweater. Knit in one piece with fingering weight yarn keeps the pattern simple, but accent features such as slipped stitch faux seams outlining the pockets and dropped sleeves keep everything interesting. In this class Dorothy will work you through the pattern, everything from choosing yarns to sizing to construction to modifications and you will leave with a light weight three season sweater.
4 sessions, $50
Saturdays, 10/5, 10/19, 11/2, & 11/16.
