John 6:37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO AWAY

If you should come to Jesus bearing a mountain of guilt, things you have said and done that you regret so deeply and you are concerned that Christ may not even wish to hear your prayers anymore because of things you have done, He says to you, "You do not need to go away!" His life, given into death for you at the cross, is enough to cover your debt.

If you should come to Jesus worried that no matter how hard you try to follow Him, you keep slipping up; if you look to Him embarrassed and saying, "The good things that I want to do, I cannot ever seem to do," He tells you that you do not need to go away! He picks you up, forgives you, and sets you on the path once more.

If you should come to Jesus afraid of what tomorrow will bring, with worry in your heart that you know is needless but still it is there, Jesus says you do not need to go away! Rather He invites you to let Him worry about the future. Let it be His care and not yours. Let Him work all things together for your good.

Whenever you rely on Jesus, trusting Him to work something out in whatever way He thinks best, or looking to Him for words of peace and comfort, or seeking guidance from His Scriptures, He will not tell you to go away!

In fact, He does things that make it easier for you to remain close to Him. He gives you a church where you can hear His word. He gives you a church family, fellow believers who can encourage you and pray for you. He gives you minds to understand the things He tells you. He gives you hearts to believe Him.

When you look to Him for help, He will never tell you to go away.
