Jasser Haj Youssef plays viola d’amore, classical violin, composes, directs and performs with numerous artists from all walks of life from Didier Lockwood to Barbara Hendricks or Sister Marie Keyrouz, stars of the opera world and the flamboyant diva Simone Kermes, a real phenomenon.
With a degree in Music, Musicology and Education, Jasser performs worldwide and recently he directed the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra at the Aix Festival in France.
His latest album Sira is a favorite without borders.
With his jazz quartet, baroque musicians, the strings of the Chamber Orchestra of Paris, he has composed a new score "Métis": from baroque virtuoso to timeless contemporary, from classical to world music, inspired by Bach or the Oriental virtuoso sonata with an Afro-Caribbean groove.
Poetic, with a plural creation that opens the horizon and liberates song.
