Charities in West Wales need your help to receive up to
£25,000 through the MCF Community Awards – Tercentenary Fund.
The Masonic Charitable Foundation is giving away £3 million to 300
charities across England and Wales to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the United Grand Lodge of England.
A number of charities in our Province have been nominated for an
award and it’s up to the Masonic community and the public to decide which charities
get the largest grants through an online vote at www.mcf.org.uk/vote.
The vote is open from 12 June – 31 July 2017. Have your say, vote
now and help your favourite West Wales charity win a share of the £3 million.
Once you have voted, please encourage your friends, family and
colleagues to do the same.
Further details can be found on the West Wales website here.

Two well known West Wales Masons received a 50 Year Certificate from the Provincial Grand Master in June. |
Initiated in Cambrian Lodge on 5th April 1967, W Bro Rev Graham Lloyd has been a loyal member of the Province for over 50 years. He was Master of Cambrian Lodge in 2011 and served the Province as Chaplain in 1992. What is not common knowledge is that Graham interrupted his honeymoon to be at his Initiation Ceremony, so he has been married for 50 years this year too! You can read the full story here. |
Bro Glyn Daniels was born in Drefach Velindre in 1928. On leaving school he took up
employment with the Ministry of Food, but in 1947 he joined the Royal
Air Force. In 1948 he was posted to the Far East, and whilst there he was injured in an attack on his convoy, resulting in 6 months in hospital.
Bro Glyn became a Freemason in Strumble lodge on 14th June 1967. To achieve 50 years membership of our institution is
marvellous in itself, but that fact does not reflect the manner in which he has done it.
Bro. Glyn's commitment and dedication to the Office of Almoner is legendary throughout the Province.
