DODGE CHARGER BODY RESTORATION PROJECT UPDATE | |
This very impressive Dodge charger (yes, the same model as the ‘General Lee’ which features in the classic American TV-series ‘the Dukes of Hazzard’) is being restored to top condition at CLASSIC JOB. The car was fully stripped and the bodywork was stripped of paint by a special and very effective ‘bathing‘-process. Immediately after the paint was stripped the body was given a protective coating to prevent surface corrosion of the baked metal. As you can see in the pictures the body is very sound, some rusty spots at the rear have to be restored. This proved not to be entirely true after opening hollow spaces, at the rear end more internal rust was found. Now the sheet metal work has been completed!
