Films Announces the Cannes Market Premiere of
CONTRACTED
A One Night
Stand From Hell
LOS ANGELES (May 9, 2013) – Darclight Films
announces the acquisition and Cannes market premiere of psychological
horror-thriller CONTRACTED. First-look
screenings will be presented to buyers starting next week.
CONTRACTED
takes the traditional Zombie story and seamlessly transforms it into something
wholly modern and horrifying, a macabre trip that needs to be experienced to
believe it.
CONTRACTED
tells the terrifying tale of a young girl who as a one-night stand with a
stranger, contracting what she thinks is an sexually transmitted disease, but
is actually something far worse. As things begin to crumble around her, she's
sent on a disturbing and bloodcurdling journey, sure to keep audiences on the
edge of their seats. With nail-biting suspense and frightening twists, CONTRACTED is a horror film for those
who think they've seen it all.

Contracted is directed by Eric England (MADISON COUNTY), and features a who's
who of horror film and television thesps including: Najarra Townsend (2005's hit indie ME AND YOU AND EVERYONE WE KNOW, 90210) Caroline Williams (TEXAS
CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2, HATCHET 3, NIP/TICK), celebrated horror force Simon
Barrett (V/H/S, ABC'S OF DEATH, YOU'RE
NEXT), Charlie Koontz (COMMUNITY, RUBBER),
Dave Holmes (RENO: 911 DVD ON TV),
and Ruben Pla (INSIDIOUS),
amongst others.

Darclight Films is handling international sales for CONTRACTED and XYZ Films will be
handling North American sales. The Film was produced by
Raphael Margules and J.D. Lifshitz
of BoulderLight Pictures.
