Happily Even After!

Hi ladies!

It's been a while so I figured a newsletter is in order. First, I want to WELCOME all the new members of our group. I love meeting you, so be sure to become my Facebook friend if we're not already!

Next, I wanted to share some big news. Incase you haven't heard, I’m engaged (!) and received the most romantic proposal, which I can't wait to tell you about in the book!

It may have taken four years post-divorce, but I found my fairytale ending. It feels a little weird that I'm here because I've been trying to reach this place for so long. It's almost surreal. But it's happening and I'm so excited for the future.

Don't worry; I still love divorce!  I am so grateful for my divorce because without it, I wouldn't be where I am today. My future husband has been ultra-supportive of this endeavor- he even proofreads chapters!

Let this serve as inspiration for you all. Happiness WILL come, it just make take some time. Enjoy the journey and spoil yourself by doing whatever you want, whenever you want and by simply enriching your life. Love will find you along the way.

More big news: My best friend, Roe, is getting divorced! Ironic, right? I'm SO EXCITED to be planning her divorce party. I never had one, so I will live vicariously through her!  You can bet photos will be posted online. Stay tuned.

I also just want to thank everyone for the messages and support of this project. Trash the Dress isn't just a book; it's a movement and wouldn't be possible without ALL of you. We're helping each other and changing the lives of others. It's a beautiful thing and I am blessed to have the opportunity to lead the way. Now I sound way too sappy, so it's time to get back to writing!

Stay strong, smile often!

Love,
Joelle

Calling all NJ/ NYC area girls!  We're planning another meet-up in August. Join the conversation on our Facebook group and let us know what dates you're free. I can't wait to see everyone again and meet new members!

I'd love to make these happen across the country. If you meet up, send me pictures and details, so I can post!

                 Trash the Dress Participant Quote:

"No matter how ugly and hard things may be in the moment, and even if the future seems really dark, I promise it always gets better.  Maybe not right away, and learning to live as a single person again really can be just the thing you need to discover yourself better in order to figure out what kind of a person you want to be with.  I'm not saying divorce is easy and God knows if there were a winner and a loser in that divorce - I definitely didn't win.  But I gained my freedom, to be single.  It was and is scary.  It’s something I try to learn from and at the same time forget ever happened."- Sara from Eqypt
