NEWS FOR CAT LOVERS
===================================

What do you call it when you have a tattoo of your cat
on your skin? Why, it's a "cattoo," of course!

Here's a blog showing a group of dedicated cat lovers
and rescuers with some interesting and beautiful cattoos:

http://cattoodesign.com

Lovely, but I doubt I'll be getting one. How about you?

-----------------------

This video is 35 minutes long, but it's full of some
very interesting information and tips for anyone who
works with cats or volunteers at a shelter.

http://fb.me/AuupJWfj

Even if you don't work with large numbers of cats,
the video is very helpful to understand shelter life,
if you've gotten a cat from one, and to understand
what helps cats adapt to a new home.

----------------------

For those of you who also have a dog or two, you can
take a peek at my Dog Newsletter here:
http://www.aweber.com/b/CXwhE
Of particular interest might be the article about the use
of dogs by wildlife scientists to track animals, such as
some of the big cats. (Thanks to Judy for sending this in!)

Here are two sites that provide the latest info on what's
being recalled:

1. http://www.avma.org/petfoodsafety/recalls/default.asp
(from the American Veterinary Medical Association -
a review of all the latest petfood recalls and alerts.)

2. http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/newpetfoodrecalls
(from the US Food and Drug Administration)

And this site alerts people to what the petfood companies
won't tell us:
