Animal Science Student, Kyle Lewis is the recipient of the 2015 Colin O’Dare Masonic Bursary Award. Kyle has just completed the first year of an Animal Science Foundation degree and plans to use the Award to fund work placements both in the UK and further afield.
Kyle is a mature student who returned to full time education in 2014 after 11 years working in jobs which left her wanting more from life. She hopes that her degree in Animal Science will lead to a career working with animals and animal welfare.
The Provincial Grand Master of West Wales, Right Worshipful Brother Stephen Hookey presented Kyle with a cheque for £1500 and a certificate to commemorate the award on Wednesday 15th July 2015. The award is given annually by the Provincial Grand Charity of the Masonic Province of West Wales to encourage worthy students to further their education. Kyle was selected this year because of her outstanding achievement during her first year at Pembrokeshire College.
Kyle was born in Pembrokeshire and lives in Pennar, Pembroke Dock. The Province of West Wales wishes her every success in her future studies.
