You are cordially invited to the
Rededication of Frankie Pace Park!

When we had the Grand Opening of Frankie Pace Park, it was a cold day in November, there was no grass and low community turnout.

As a part of our major tribute to Charles and Frankie Pace on Saturday, March 25, I want to cordially invite you to the rededication and with Frankie Pace's family members, as well as to the VIP Reception and Gospel Tribute shortly after at 5pm at Ebenezer Church. Make an evening of it!

Here is the RSVP with more information:

Free Parking is available at Frankie Pace Park and across the street at the South Lot along Centre Avenue.

Recovering the Lost Gospel Music of
Charles and Frankie Pace

Join us in celebrating this important but little-known piece of Pittsburgh history in a Gospel Music Tribute to Charles and Frankie Pace on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

Charles and Frankie Pace ran one of the nation's most successful independent Black gospel music publishing businesses out of Pittsburgh's Hill District from the 1930s to the 1980s. Charles composed songs, made printing plates, and printed his music. Frankie helped distribute the music to a nationwide network of Black-owned stores. Their performances raised thousands of dollars for causes large and small, and their store was a base for Frankie's activism.

Once believed to be lost, much of Charles's music is being recovered from his printing plates and other items in the Center for American Music's Charles and Frankie Pace Collection in the University of Pittsburgh Library System.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration required.
