"Eye Candy" for March 2023
It’s time for your monthly treat for the eyes & this month's selection of bags is truly amazing.
ALL of the bags pictured below have been shared recently on

Virginia Compton created this yummy Quattro that she says makes her yearn for the beach!

This is the 4th Sling Along that Renee Pageau has created. She chose this fabric featuring cameras because she knew she'd be gifting it to her DIL who is a photographer and added that she knows it will be greatly "loved"!

Lynn Purdy said this striking Gemini FlightBag will be absolutely perfect for her upcoming travels & that she used grey "blackout curtain fabric for the exterior & paired it with a fabulous pink vinyl for the front pocket area! Check out the surprise lining!

Jo Ellen Smith is a BIG-time Jimmy Buffet fan & from the moment she spied this parrot fabric she just KNEW where it would be going & I must say...her HipBag Hybrid is better than a "CheeseBurger in Paradise!"

Linda Fleming used some of her hand-woven towels to create a totally textured & unique front pouch area for her Sling Along. What a fun look!

Here's another of Jeanette Jay's cool Side Slinger's! She said this customer  requested she use "gambling" fabric since she wanted to gift it to her SIL who loves going to casinos! (And what a perfectly secure bag for a casino, right?)

And is it any surprise that Karla Grady says that she LOVES her Go-Go Compacts?
Because its hard for me to decide which one of these little beauties in my favorite!

Noni Smith was brave & fashioned her ErgoMatic in barkcloth but what I find perfect about this exterior is the impressive fussy-cutting!

Renee Pageau entered this Sling Along into the Rio Grande Quilt Show and scored a 1st place finish. She added that she gets compliments on it everywhere she goes!

And finally, on a recent trip to Austria Jo Ellen Smith spied this turquoise leather (along with a turquoise pendant) & knew it would be perfect for a HipBag Hybrid. And I would have to agree!

I don't know about you but I never have understood how a groundhog in Pennsylvania should be expected to predict winter's demise in central North Carolina... or anywhere else for that matter. So if you feel likewise you might enjoy this article about other rodents charged with this responsibility. {Click HERE to check it out!}

She'd been selling handmade sewn items online for seven years & every year she wondered if she should leave holiday items listed in her Etsy store past the end of December.  Who could want a Santa-themed dress in June? Or a Christmas stocking in July?  But in 2022 she decided to let the listings renew & see if there was any interest in Christmas items past the holiday season.
She ended up selling only one holiday item in the off season & as it turns out, that one sale was the most meaningful & amazing experience to ever happen to her small, handmade business. {Click HERE to read more.}

Un-word of the Month- "Fryfugee"
"Fryfugee"- A french fry found loose in the bottom of a fast-food bag!

A few weeks ago toy designer Jodie Carleton shared what it's like to have her digital pattern stolen and sold by a very unscrupulous company. I can't even imagine how helpless she feels. The video is difficult to watch from this perspective, but its something we should NOT turn away from!  {Click HERE to see the video}
