Nubuke Foundation is proud to present Gideon Appah as our 2017 Young Ghanaian artist 
(YGA) with a debut solo exhibition: In Pokua’s Place. Appah will be presenting a body of textured and vivid mixed media artworks that pay homage to his grandmother (Pokua). The exhibition is a nostalgic tribute in memory of her, with the works serving as a reminder of her place, space and legacy in his childhood and family.

Collaborative project between renowned fantasy coffin maker, Paa Joe and performance artist, Elisabeth Efua Sutherland.Paa Joe explores specific funeral practices of the country’s Ga and Fante communities – coastal societies to which the Artists belong. The exhibition focuses on the fictional passing of a young girl.

Ghana Must Go- Critical Mass

Ghana Must Go: Critical Mass came to an end on Friday 24 November 2017. It was a coworking space for creative thinkers and the last two months have been phenomenal. The collaborations and projects that have developed through our programme makes us certain that Ghana Must Go forward. We will be shortlisting one of the nine projects we have been presented with and incubate them for a year.
