Finding beauty in simplest of things, And a sense of belonging that words cannot convey. Leaving behind the hustle and clamor of life, To immerse myself in the whispers.

“For us, “Green Lights” is about taking hold of life and all difficult decisions. Drop the loser mentality and just do. We are so damn much better at thinking, than actually doing. This will also be a single on our upcoming album, which will come sometime when we have finished it…”

With their 2019 debut album “Split Visions” and a string of singles boasting skewed grooves and seductive melodies, Need For Speed tells the fateful tale of the city, hometown, streets, darkness, and love. Their live performances always deliver an intense presence that’s not to be missed.

Catch them live on South Ocean Festival – Malmö 12th of July

Summer is the season of electronics. Nothing is as chilling as a floating synth over a sawtooth bass, or as escapist on a summers night as a monotonous arrpeggio. It's not just Need For Speed that has released new music. We also have soft, enveloping acid dub techno from Remote Chance on the debut EP "Perpetual Peace" and the second single from LOW-RES's upcoming record, "Give Me Something For The Soul" which gravitates towards evocative electronic pop.

LOW-RES is no stranger to gloomy, almost decadent darkness. On "Give Me Something For The Soul", the second single from the upcoming album "Happiness", which is released on October 4, their explosive mix of kraut, indie rock and psychedelia is still heard. But we also sense a new side when they take a step in two different directions.

On Give Me Something For The Soul darker lyrics meet slightly brighter, clearer and almost uplifting melodies. It’s a delicate balance between two opposing poles, with the duo simultaneously singing about the complex reality of codependency and the experience of living with someone who abuses and refuses to see the truth of the situation.

The single, which is their most hook-oriented song to date, follows the introspective song Wish, released in May, and is part of their upcoming third album, Happiness, which will be released on October 4.

LOW-RES has previously been picked up by BBC Radio 6 and praised by the likes of Swedish magazine GAFFA who described their debut album as “oceans of creativity pumping out of the speakers, with each song carrying its own story and sound.”. Just like the upcoming album, Give Me Something For The Soul was produced by the band and Daniel ”Fagge” Fagerström (Viagra Boys, Baba Stiltz, Kite) and will be released on June 14 by Adrian Recordings.

Tor Rauden Källstigen, one half of the now decommissioned Grammy-nominated minimal exquisite neo tarnce project Boeoes Kaelstigen, now makes desolate instrumental electronic acid under the name Remote Chance. Debut EP “Perpetual Peace” is released June the 7th.

Remote Chance creates desolate acid house, with dreams of transformative winds. Inspiration is taken from late 80’s underground democracy movements in Eastern Europe. How ideas spark and bring people in a new direction.
