WHO ART IN HEAVEN
Heaven, the home, the eternal dwelling place of God our Father Almighty, and while He is at all times in all places both in Heaven and on earth, His dwelling is in Heaven above. It is there in Heaven where we must leave God and not bring Him down to earth, to our level.
When Jesus before His crucifixion says to His disciples and us that He will come again at the end of time, He did not say, I will come again to earth to dwell with you here. Nor does Jesus ever say, The Father will descend to Me here on earth after I have risen. Jesus makes it clear that He would, and has, ascended to the Father in Heaven, and "I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there you may be also."
Our thoughts are ever directed upward, beyond this earth, beyond the sky, beyond space to Heaven where our Father, the Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, and the Holy Ghost, who has called, gathered and sanctified us dwells, for Heaven is His home and not this world.
By those words of the Lord's prayer, who art in Heaven we are reminded each time we pray them that our real and only lasting home is in Heaven with our Father, and our Savior, and our Comforter. God grant that our hearts are in our heavenly home, and our heart's desire is to be there with Him.
I believe in God our Father Almighty, who is in Heaven, Maker of heaven and earth!
