MBA students get a personal view of the Motor City, while doing their part to help and learn

The Full-Time MBA Program sent 86 members of its Class of 2020 to experience Detroit not from the C-suite, but from the level at which most Detroiters work and live. The MBAs were partnered with Detroit high school student "mentors" in a weekend-long immersive experience.

“Participating in an experience like this reminds us to stop, take a breath, and remember to engage with everyone around us. It helps put our daily struggles into perspective, and for me, it reminded me of how grateful and fortunate I am,” said MBA student Allison Harris.

The planned $450 million, 240-bed facility in South Lansing, adjacent to MSU's campus, is a partnership between the university and McLaren Health Care. An opening is targeted for sometime in early 2022.
