I’ve never had so many students and staff participate in spirit week as I have had this week. Every day, there seems to be more participants than there was the previous day. Some of the costumes are absolutely incredible. Today was 70s and 80s Day and I can tell there are a lot of parents from those eras because the clothes are spot on…and vintage…and too diverse to have come from second hand stores. The clothes I’m seeing are straight out of parents’ closets. Amy Douglass’ and Cliff Somers’ costumes have been “out a sight.” Awesome!

Tonight is the Harvest Festival Parade. Once again this year, the Harvest Festival Committee allowed me to attend some of their meetings. I don’t think people understands the massive amount of planning and time those people donate to making the Festival a success. We are blessed to live in a community where people still care about each other. Thank you to the Chamber of Commerce for organization a great event.

Tomorrow we will wrap up spirit week with “Extreme Red and White Day.” I am a little nervous about what that means. Thank you to the ELC for making a great Homecoming week!

Tomorrow night is the game and crowning.

Saturday night is the dance.
