One of the few disappointments of the LT30 data collector is that it does not have a dedicated enter key and it has not been possible to assign one of the two function keys (F1 or F2) as an ‘Enter’ key.
There is a great need for having an Enter key to trigger 'S'toring a point in Carlson SurvCE. Currently you need to press the onscreen ‘S’ button to trigger a Store.
It is now possible to run a small .CAB file on the LT30 which will define the Right-Function Key (F2) as an Enter key. The can be downloaded from this location:
To install
1. Close all programs running on the LT30
2. Download the CAB file to your LT30
3. Click on the CAB file from within the File Explorer
The LT30 will immediately reboot. After it reboots, the F2 key will emulate an Enter key and trigger the default action in SurvCE and other mobile applications.
