CLASSICAR GARAGE NEWSLETTER 200, 1 NOVEMBER 2024

Dear classic car enthusiast,

Today a milestone has been reached, you are looking at ClassicarGarage newsletter
number 200! Over the years that number felt like the number to stop with the E-mail newsletter because social media have taken over the role of news bringer. Nothing could be further from the truth, the newsletter does not pass by quickly, is not dependent on the algorithms and the arbitrariness of large parties and can be read at any time. In addition, the loyalty of the reader and the interest in the joint hobby are very great, even after so many years.

The first newsletter was sent on October 28, 2007, with approximately 150 subscribers at home and abroad. This grew to many thousands in 17 years, despite spam filters that have and have been quite a nuisance to subscribers and to us. I would like to THANK YOU all very much for your attention, the nice reactions over the years, and the interactions with the garages!

I would like to give extra attention to the readers who have been with us since newsletter number 1. How wonderful that you are still here: S. Lunder, S. Brookes, J. Salgatti, Y. Lesaout, S. Musfeld, P.S. Firro, F. Thauvin, Varisco Patricia, M. de Vita, A. Suarez, M. Scopetta, J. Schaefer, ‘Regmond’, ‘Ramasauskas’, ‘Maccaye’, ‘Family B’, ‘Tex Portugal’, ‘Fdesc62’, and ‘Be-Dan’.

In this newsletter you will again find several beautiful restoration updates at Amicale Facel Holland and at S2 Classic Cars. At Classic Job a new restoration project of a Volvo P1800 S has been added.

Of course, newly arrived classics and sports cars have also been driven and photographed for sale. In addition to many Italian beauties such as the great Ferrari 365 GT at S2 Classic Cars and a beautiful collection of Lancia’s at Montagna d'Oro, you will find some fantastic German, English and Japanese classics.

Enjoy the ride, on the way to a next milestone!

With best regards,
Marc Vorgers.
