Urban Tellers Invitational April 13th at Hipbone Studio

This is a very special night with some of your favorite tellers that we've invited back to tell you their brand new stories: Amanda Starr, Joseph Ahearne, Ems Monson, Jeff Burke, Mary Welch, Beth Rogers!

Urban tellers stand alone, under a spotlight, in a roomful of strangers. Together, they embark on a high-wire act of shared experience which is both terrifying and exhilarating. These are not competitions; every story is honored and heard.

Singlehandedly is 5!Solo Festival Tickets On Sale Now!

Great solo performance is a combination of meaningful content, skillful use of space, and charismatic, dynamic storytelling. For the 5th consecutive year and with the generous support of the Regional Arts and Culture Council, Portland Story Theater proudly presents the New Works Solo Festival, Singlehandedly at the intimate Hipbone Studio.

Every night listeners are treated to new works presented by some of the region’s most compelling storytellers.  The focus is on local talent blended with an artist in residence – chosen from a pool of applicants from all over the world – creating an experience that celebrates the solo performance genre. This spring, audiences will get up close and personal in the black box studio, as storytellers regale them with real, true stories at 8 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, April 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th.

Tickets available at www.portlandstorytheater. $15-20 Nightly or $50 for a Festival Pass to see all 8 performances.
