Who is the best NFL quarterback ever? Joe Montana? Johnny Unitas? Or maybe it's Brett Favre or Peyton Manning? If you're a reader from New England, you're screaming, "No! It's Tom Brady!"
Many say that Jesus of Nazareth was the best man to ever live. They are right. But with Jesus, it's not only that He was the best, He still is the best, for He still lives. It's also true that with Jesus we're not talking about a person who is just a man. Jesus is the Everlasting God in human flesh. In Him all the fullness of God lives in bodily form. There is no other like Him; and your life can't get any better or more complete when you know Jesus personally by faith as your God and Savior.
* In Jesus you have the best and only solution to the damning weight of a guilty conscious: the full and free forgiveness He won for you as the once-and-for-all sacrifice for all sin.
* In Jesus you have the perfect Mediator, your guarantee that God will hear and answer your cries for help in the best possible way.
* In Jesus you have the promise that your life in the new year will have real purpose and true meaning.
* In Jesus you can be sure that not even death can defeat you. For if you should die in 2010, it will only mean the end of all tears, and the beginning of endless joy.
Opinions may vary as to the best quarterback, but there is no one even close to being in the same league with Jesus of Nazareth. So count on the fact that 2010 will be a blessed year for you, dear Christian. You have the best ever on your side. You have Jesus.
