Keith Haynes (b.London 1963) presents bright and dynamic artworks created using a precious collection of vinyl records which have been re-worked and re-shaped into colourful, bold and familiar snapshots of pop culture, the result is a playful and nostalgic exploration of music and pop culture from his past to the present day.
Keith’s work is noteworthy for his interesting choice of materials, creating works from the ‘clutter’ of pop culture - button badges, CDs or, more uniquely, vinyl records. Whether it’s a graphically iconic portrait or a meaningful song lyric each piece is created from original vinyl records chosen to enhance the subject matter; Haynes considers the subject and the object to be of equal importance within his practice.
"My introduction to art was through the graphic design of people like Jamie Reid and Ray Lowry which I collected on record sleeves, t-shirts and badges. These were the people who inspired me to go to art school".

James Mylne is a British contemporary artist known for his drawings in ballpoint pen. His technical abilities with the unorthodox art medium have earned Mylne recognition in Europe and the UK, where he is considered among the leaders of the genre and emulated by art students. The Ballpointer online journal called Mylne "Britain's premier ballpoint pen artist" in a 2015 feature article. The artist'sphotorealist likenesses of iconic celebrities attracted early media attention and continues to be one aspect of his output. Mylne also creates mixed-media works adding spray paint, magic markers and more to his ballpoint originals. Artwork expressing personal views and broader interests flourished throughout 2014.
'HELMET', 2013
ARTIST: ALISON JACKSON,
C-TYPE PRINT
40" X 36"
EDITION OF 10
Alison Jackson is renowned for her elaborate ‘spoof’ productions which give an imaginary and amusing behind- the-scenes look into the world of celebrities and royals.
She became notorious in England in 1999 for producing black-and-white photographs including images that apparently showed Princess Diana and Dodi Al-Fayed with a mixed-racelove child. The photographs were part of her graduation series entitled Mental Images. She has gone on to produce similarly obscured photos and films of celebrity look-alikes in surprising, shocking or strange situations, portraying them, as she has described it, 'depicting our suspicions'.
As part of the Art Wars collection, Jackson has created this stunning photograph inspired by the work of Helmut Newton.

Hayden Kays is the screaming voice of an angry Britain. In a world where we are spoon fed mediocrity from the media and the government, Hayden is kicking back and saying what everybody wishes they could. Exploring themes of terrorism, prostitution and tabloid culture with his tongue planted firmly in his cheek, his subtle use of humour perfectly puts his message across.
A painter, sculptor and printmaker, Kays has developed a body of works that focus upon delivering challenging messages that range from the hard-hitting to the absurd, you can't escape his abrasive in your face statements. He was recently featured in The Independent newspaper as one of ‘a new generation of Pop artists’ and his work is collected by art alumni Jake Chapman and pop royalty Harry Styles.
This year culminates for Kays in the publication of his first artists book, ‘Hayden Kays is an Artist’. A selected collection of work from his career to date, Banksy is quoted as commenting “a seriously good looking book.” The book launch took place on 5th December at the Freud Museum. www.haydenkayshq.co.uk
