Saint Padarn Triple Initiation Ceremony |
The brethren of Saint Padarn lodge were thrilled to be able to initiate 3 local candidates on Thursday 16th Feb. Those local candidates didn’t come alone, all 3 of them brought deputations from various Provinces including West Lancs, Shropshire and North Wales. There was so much gold braid sparkling in the East our SW had to wear sunglasses. For the full story click here.

Around 70 brethren attended the Installation meeting of Tenby Lodge on January 30th, including Assistant Provincial Grand Master W.Bro. Mike Eckley, the Provincial team, and a number of Grand Officers. They witnessed a sincere and accomplished ceremony, performed by the outgoing Master W.Bro. Brian Miller. The Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro. James Ross was delighted to preside at the Installation meeting of Cambrian Lodge no. 464, his mother Lodge on Wednesday 15th February 2023. He was also delighted to receive a cheque for £2,000 towards the West Wales Festival Appeal from the new Master W. Bro. David Weale at the Festive Board.

Earthquake Survivors in Turkey & Syria will receive £60,000 with the help of West Walesde Freemasons

Survivors of the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria will be receiving vital emergency supplies thanks to a £60,000 grant from West Wales Freemasons along with other Freemasons from across the country, to the British Red Cross, UK for UNHCR and UNICEF who are leading the relief effort on the ground. West Wales Freemasons present a cheque to HAHAV Charity in Aberystwyth
|
On Thursday afternoon, 16th February 2023, the PGM made a presentation of a grant of £10k on behalf of the West Wales Freemasons and the MCF to Dr Alan Axford. Dr Axford is the chairman of HAHAV - Hospice At Home Aberystwyth Volunteers. For further details click here.

Going for Gold in Australia

Lewis Evans, a young athlete from Tregaron, has been selected to represent Great Britain in the World Transplant Games in Perth, Australia this coming April.
In order to participate he had to raise a considerable sum of money and thanks to the Province and Peterwell Lodge he has been able to achieve this.
Lewis, who has had a kidney transplant, will compete in the 100m, 200m and the 4 x 100m and 4 x 400m relays. Read more here.

West Wales Motorcycle Lodge No. 10023 Consecration Meeting

On Saturday 11th February 2023, members the Provinces of West and South Wales and beyond congregated at the Masonic Hall, Harries Avenue, Llanelli to consecrate West Wales’s newest Lodge. The lodge will be known as the West Wales Motorcycle Lodge No. 10023 and will be based at Pembroke Dock Masonic Hall. For more on this story click here.
