Hopefully you are signed up for our newsletter and will have received the invite to our AGM on the 26th March.
We would like to clarify these comments;
The allotment service has not completed full inspections at any site for at least the past 2 years.
As a result the allotment service hasn’t evicted a single tenant for not looking after their plot for at least 2 years.
Some of you will have had 'pilot' inspections and evictions carried out by the 'projects services' team (Jim Mayor and Liz Davies). This is not the allotment service.
Project services is part of the City Parks projects team. They set up some inspection pilots to see how the process worked and how hard it was to complete them.
Jim Mayor and Liz Davies DID complete full inspections on a number of sites and carried out 46 terminations in 2023. The allotment service did not complete any inspections and made no terminations. See attached data.

I hope you can attend the AGM. Managers and Councillors need to hear the Site Reps voices. BHAF will arrange a meeting for Site Reps after the AGM to hear your thoughts on where we should go from here. One Site Rep has already asked us what the point is of them doing their first inspections this year knowing that its most likely they will not get properly completed anyway.
