Beginning Wednesday, August 6, 2014 and happening every 1st and 3rd Wednesday, SAVOY Restaurant & Lounge presents: Savoy Soul! Spoken Word/Open Mic Night for Singers and Poets! The house band, BOOM and Jevon Rushton, will provide the soulful sounds of Jazz, R&B, and Soul music for vocalists and poets to share their words during the open mic. Held upstairs, the intimacy of the space allows for the art to be fully heard, embraced, and appreciated. Yes, this is definitely for the "Grown and Sexy". Some nights will feature a singer or poet (or both!). There will be drink specials and sometimes giveaways.

Hosted by spoken word artist/actor, Leslie "Ezra" Smith.

One of Pittsburgh's best and popular DJ's, Deejay-Cue Tha Chef, will be spinning throughout the night!
