GPS welcomes Mixer Tom Lord-Alge to the Roster

GPS is very pleased to announce the signing of Grammy winning mixer Tom Lord-Alge. Tom maintains one of the industry's most prolific discographies, including diverse credits ranging from U2 to The Rolling Stones, P!nk, Peter Gabriel, Dave Matthews Band, Blink-182, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Avril Lavigne, and numerous others.

Beginning his career at Unique Recording in NYC, Tom won his first of two "Best Engineered Recording" Grammys in 1986 for recording and mixing Steve Winwood's Back In The High Life (Island). During this period he scored his first big break producing, engineering, and mixing "If You Leave" by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark for the Pretty in Pink soundtrack. He would win his second Grammy in 1988 with Winwood's follow up, Roll With It (Virgin). In the same year he left his staff job at Unique Recording, spending several years freelance producing before deciding to focus on mixing.

With Crash Test Dummies' God Shuffled His Feet (1993, BMG/Arista), featuring their hit "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm", and Live's multi-platinum Throwing Copper (1994, Radioactive) Tom launched his mix career. Since then, he has consistently worked with major artists, mixing multi-platinum records including Dave Matthews Band's Under the Table & Dreaming (1994, RCA), Marilyn Manson's Mechanical Animals (1998, Nothing/Interscope), and Blink-182's Enema of the State (1999, MCA). He continued his streak in the 2000s with Avril Lavigne's Let Go (2002, Arista), Thirty Seconds Mars's A Beautiful Lie (2005, Immortal/Virgin), Angels & Airwaves's I-Empire (2007, Geffen/Suretone), and Miranda Cosgrove's Sparks Fly (2010, Columbia/Epic), amongst others. In the last several years alone he has mixed for projects as diverse as The Rolling Stones' GRRR! (ABKCO/Interscope), Flyleaf's New Horizons (A&M/Octone), and Blink-182's Neighborhoods (DGC/Interscope). He is currently mixing the forthcoming album from Live.
