R.M.Y.C. ART EXHIBITION 2007



CALL FOR ENTRIES


The 2006 Art Show held at the Royal Motor Yacht Club last year, as reported in the Manly Daily, was an unqualified success, with over one thousand visitors passing through the doors, and a sale figure of local artists work exceeding $19,000.
This year the Exhibition will be held at the same venue, the Club Dining Room, from 18th to 23rd October, and the theme is as usual, maritime. Taking the first line from John Masefield’s poem, “Sea Fever”, ‘I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and the sky...’ artists are again invited to complete their work ready for entry by 1st October 2007.
In 2006 over 360 entries were received, and all were hung. The total prize money from various sponsors exceeds $3000, and is divided among various categories, both amateur and professional, and includes a student award donated by Pittwater Council. Entry forms are available from most art supply outlets, libraries, picture framers, some galleries, from the RMYC on 9997 5511or PHILIP BOND. on Scotland Island (9979 5958)
