Greetings!

As you probably know by now, I left for Afghanistan on Monday.  I'm writing this from the Dubai airport where it's currently midnight Tuesday and I'm on an 8-hour layover for my flight to Kabul Wednesday morning.

You're receiving this email either because you asked to be kept up-to-date -OR- I thought you would want to be.  If you'd rather not receive any more emails from me, just click on the "leave email list" link at the bottom of this page and the pain will stop immediately.  ;)

I plan to send an update about every other day, but don't be alarmed if you don't receive anything for a few days... our Internet connection can be sketchy in Kabul.  No news doesn't mean bad news!  I'll try to send a photo or two each day, but don't want to overburden your email so the vast majority will get posted to the BarekAub.com website after I return.  (BTW, if you haven't checked out the BarekAub.com website, take a look... I've posted all the photos and my journal from our April trip there.)

We're anticipating a historic week as we hope to work side-by-side with the men of the village to build their first school.  Please keep our team and the people of Barek Aub in your thoughts and prayers and close to your hearts.

That's it for now... I'll write again in a couple days.  Thank you for your support!
