Hands On Connect
Thank You for Making this Transition with Us
Dear Volunteer Leaders,
Thank you for being patient during the transition to HandsOn Connect. There is definitely a learning curve with the new system, but once you get familiar with it I believe that you'll find it as easy to use as HOT.
Some have asked why we changed our website & system. HOC is the updated version of HOT, and sometime later this year HOT will no longer function. This transition was a necessary one for us to make. There are also (or will eventually be) enhanced features for volunteers and nonprofit partners.
Unfortunately, because the technology behind the management system is new, there are many shortcomings and bugs. These issues are being addressed by the developers, but this is a slow process. Eventually though, all of the issues will be worked out.
I have heard from some frustrated Volunteer Leaders about the new system, and this is understandable. We realize that we are asking a lot for VLs to learn a new system and deal with it's bugs & shortcomings...especially after having grown familiar with the old system.
We are working to address these issues as quickly as possible. Please see info to the left about upcoming HOC Help Calls & an HOC Manual Update. Feel free to email or call (323-224-6510) in the meantime with any questions or issues.
Thanks again for your patience and your willingness to make this transition with us.
