Loving My New Ministry Position!

I am SO GRATEFUL for my new ministry position at ServeNow. It's been more than 4.5 years of waiting and praying for the Lord to open my next ministry door and He finally revealed His will for me.

It is an international ministry with Kingdom impact in 20 different countries. ServeNow. . . Procrastinate Later is our motto. Each country where we serve has a national leader and a team who serves with them.

One of the cool things about ServeNow is that we don't use a cookie cutter approach to ministry.

Instead, we follow the Spirit's leading through our national leaders in each area served. In some places, that means our emphasis is on training young women brought out of sex trafficking to be entrepreneurs. In other areas, that means giving a pastor a bicycle who has been walking a 16-mile roundtrip to get to his church. Still, in other regions of the world, we offer a safe shelter and provision for those in the middle of a horrific war.
In each area of the word where we serve, our key printed resources for evangelism and discipleship is called The Basic Series. We have 30 volumes in the series that are each about 30 pages long. And each volume focuses on a different element of the Christian life:

The Basic Things You Need to Know About Jesus, Prayer, Salvation, the Church, Worship, Compassion, Persecution, etc.

Our Basic Series books are currently translated into 45 languages and we continue to work on more.

Please consider supporting ServeNow with your best gift.

Dr. Del Tackett
The Engagement Project
This month I was blessed to sit under the teaching of Dr. Del Tackett. Many of you have been through his landmark Christian Worldview teaching series, The Truth Project. Now he has launched a new video teaching series for such a time as this called, The Engagement Project.

This poignant and timely video series explores ways that we can see our current national and world situation through the lens of a biblical worldview. One aspect that he shared with us was that so much of what we see happening in our country is being framed as being "compassionate."

Think about the radical agenda that we see being driven by the media, entertainment, and foisted upon our children through our education system. The ideals are presented as being compassionate. In his teaching, Del shares that it's actually a perverted compassion. He calls it malevolent compassion.

Food for thought. Please consider using the video curriculum for The Engagement Project for your next small group study.

Nashville for Easter

This year for Easter I was blessed to join four other friends in Nashville for a weekend of worship and fellowship.

We all arrived throughout the day on Good Friday and were blessed to attend the annual Chris Tomlin: Good Friday Nashville event at the downtown Bridgestone Arena. It was a wonderful evening, complete with Max Lucado bringing the message. And ALL of the funds from the evening went to support foster and age-out youngsters all throughout the state of Tennessee.

Saturday, we were blessed to go to a concert at the historic Ryman Auditorium, the original home of the Grand Ole Opry.

And on Easter Sunday, we attended Church of the City that meets at Rocketown in downtown Nashville. The pastor is Matt Smallbone who is the cousin of Rebecca St. James and her brothers in For King and Country. It was a wonderful worship service!

On the afternoon of Easter, we hit the streets to join my friends Pastor Bob Beeman and the folks who lead ShowerUp Nashville to offer a good meal and clean shower for our friends without an address. It was a nice way to serve other together as a group on Resurrection Day.

Would you allow me to pray for you? Please share your prayer needs with me and as you pray for me, I will pray for you.

Blessings!

Encouraging Scripture

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
