Schedule Adjusted for Town Council and Planning Commission
Welcome to September and Fall schedules! We are adjusting the Town Council Meeting Schedule due to the Huntsville Marathon. Town Council Meeting will be canceled on September 19th and rescheduled for Thursday, September 26th at 7:00. We welcome the opportunity to hear from Sheriff Arbon at the September 26th meeting.

Planning Commission Meeting has been canceled for September. The next Planning Commission Meeting will be on Thursday, October 24th at 7:00 p.m. Please let Beckki know if you need to get on the agenda.
 
Huntsville Marathon September 21st
It's time for the 8th Annual Huntsville Marathon! This is a great event for Huntsville Town. Residents need to be aware of the routes the morning of September 21st. The start time for the marathon is at 7 a.m. and the half marathon starts at 7:30 a.m. Twenty-five percent of full marathoners have qualified for the Boston Marathon. The Huntsville Marathon has given $430,000 to other non-profits in the Upper Valley over the last eight years. Thank you to all the volunteers who make this event possible! We love your spirit! Residents and volunteers make this event great for the runners. Mayor Truett invites all to come out and enjoy the event.
 
2019 Election Deadlines
Huntsville is electing two, four-year Council Member terms in the 2019 General Election. Please be aware of the following deadlines:

Voter Registration Deadlines
October 7th - Mail in registration form
October 29th - Online or In-person registration deadline. Registrations may be returned in-person to the Town Recorder or County Clerk

By Mail Ballots
October 15th - Ballots mailied to all active voters.
October 29th - Last day ballots will be mailed.

Ballot Drop Box Locations
All City Halls (Drop Box is outside - available 24 hours a day)
All Public Libraries (Drop Box is outside - available 24 hours a day)
Weber State University - Drop Box located between the Library and Student Union Building and available 24 hours a day
County Fairgrounds - Available on Election Day only from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
 
Early Voting
Early Voting will be held Oct 30, 31, Nov 1, 4 at the Weber Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Vote Centers
Vote Centers will be available on Election Day at all County Libraries and the Fair Grounds from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
 
**Any voter who does not register by this deadline may register AND vote a provisional ballot during the Early Voting or on Election Day. Please bring photo ID and proof of residency.**

Meet the Candidates Night 
Submit a Question
Meet the Candidates Night for all residents of Huntsville Town will be held on Thursday, October 12th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Huntsville Library. This is an opportunity to hear from the Candidates running for the two 4-year Council Member seats.
 
The candidate running for the two, 4-year seats are:
Blake W. Bingham
Richard L. Sorensen
William H. Wangsgard
Jason Kyle
 
We will have a moderator ask questions of the candidates. We would love to hear your questions. If you would like an opportunity to submit a question ahead of time, please email your questions to Beckki - bendicott@huntsvilletown.com. Questions can remain anonymous by request. Thanks!
 
Weber Fire Open House
Please join Weber Fire at Station 61, 2023 W 1300 N, Farr West from 5:30-8:30 for an open house. Come learn about fire safety and prevention, meet emergency response teams and local fire departments. The open house is free for all ages. See attached flyer for more information. 
 
Touch-A-Truck
Touch-A-Truck is coming to Huntsville Park for the 2nd year on Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come bring your family to see a sandbox truck, bookmobile, school bus, tractors, recycling truck, police car and fire truck. The event is free for all ages. See attached flyer for more information.
