Important Notice from Pittwater Council |
|
Due to a small glitch in our newsletter operation a couple of gremlins crept into to the last Special Edition, sent this morning, Sydney Australia time. Some subscribers reported not being able to download the document mentioned below. This is now fixed. The document itself referred to an incorrect commencement time. It should be 10 am in the Scotland Island Fire Brigade building. Pittwater Council (Council) is currently preparing a Plan of Management for Church Point Reserve, to provide a sound basis for future decision-making and to formalise the functions of the Reserve. Engineering and environmental consultants GHD Pty Ltd have been engaged by Council to prepare the Plan of Management, which includes extensive community consultation and assessment of possible options. Consultation to date has included two public meetings, one at the Mona Vale Community Hall on 18 October 2006, and one at Scotland Island on 12 November 2006. There have also been numerous committee meetings held with representatives from the Department of Lands, Council, and on-shore and offshore residents, to further understand what is important to the community. Following the distribution of the Options and Issues Paper in December 2006, and stakeholder feedback received, GHD has now identified a recommended option. You can view these options by viewing and /or printing the document by clicking here or visiting: http://www.paulpurvis.net/pom_pittwater_urgent_may2007.pdf Please note you will need Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader to view this document |
