Our resident drum and bass promoters present a night of summer style beats and bass with a special 2 hour set from headliner LTJ BUKEM & MC CONRAD.
Just who is LTJ Bukem?
Ground breaking DJ? Inspirational musician?
Record label entrepreneur? Club visionary, perhaps? When the man behind those wire rimmed glasses and that disarming smile writes his job description just what does he put? The man who took the drum and bass concept from a small venue off London's Charing Cross Road to the nation's superclubs and then onto the international stage? The geezer whose records launched breakbeat into a brand new galaxy of sound? Or maybe he just writes 'Renaissance man for a digital age'.
In truth LTJ Bukem is all of the above. Although he wouldn't like to admit it, LTJ Bukem is the living embodiment of the post-acid house entrepreneurial creative spirit. He is a mild mannered energy flash whose panoramic musical vision has found success in every area he has explored. From running sound systems to cutting up breaks at raves, from relocating the heart of breakbeat culture to redefining the spirit of drum and bass, the man known to his friends as Danny Williamson has sat at the forefront of breakbeat evolution, lighting the way with little more than a zest for life and a love of music. In other words, LTJ Bukem is a man on a mission!

who's ska reggae will keep

The Dualers are Britain’s much loved Ska and Reggae band who have appeared everywhere from the streets to the concert halls of Southern England over the last few years and more recently the UK charts.
Tyber and Simon Cranstoun’s father was one of the pioneer promoters of Ska and Reggae in the UK during the Sixties and naturally the brothers grew up listening to and being heavily influenced by artists such as Jimmy Cliff, Toots & The Maytals and Bob Marley. With their blend of Ska, Reggae and Soul, Tyber and Simon have steadily built a following of many thousands across all ages;
their fans are truly dedicated and the band’s ever expanding database is testament to that loyal support.

Freddie and Freeloaders are back at The Cellar of Soul for one of their now legendary party nights! This 8 piece groove machine has an arsenal of some of the best Motown/Stax covers and soul and funk classics, with a few surprises for everyone of course.
Freddie and The Freeloaders' band members have had an incredibly busy summer performing at festivals all over the continent including Glastonbury, Re:Found (Italy), Larmer Tree, Montreaux (Switzerland), Isle Of Wight etc. and this will be the only public show with the whole gang together this season! So make sure you dont miss out on an absolute roofshaker of driving funk grooves, dizzy horn lines, irreverent banter and outrageous shredding.
