SALSA PARTY IN SOLIDARITY WITH CUBA AND PALESTINE

Join the Embassies of Cuba and Palestine together with BDS South Africa and others at an Afro-Palestino-Cubano Salsa Dance event and solidarity party on Friday 23 March at 7pm (click here). The event, in solidarity with the Cuban revolution and the Palestinian liberation struggle, will take place at Sawubona Lounge (305 Fox Street, Maboneng Precinct, Joburg). South African entertainer Mashabela Galane, who recently toured South Africa on the Palestine "Apartheid Ain't Funny" comedy tour, attracting 1000s of students at several campus events across the country, will be headlining the upcoming "Comedy Under the Sun" festival at Dries Niemandt (Kempton Park) on Saturday 24 March. FORMER SOUTH AFRICAN PRESIDENT KGALEMA MOTLANTHE MEETS VISITING PALESTINIAN AUTHOR AND BDS ACTIVISTS

On the final day of his recent South African tour, Palestinian author and activist Ali Abunimah, together with BDS activists and #IsraeliApartheidWeek organizers, met with former South African President Kgalema Mothlanthe.
Last year in 2017 Motlanthe spoke at the launch of the #IsraeliApartheidWeek campaign.
