Community Awards Presentation Evening
The charities who were the recipients of the MCF Community Awards in the West Wales Province received their awards at a special presentation evening held at The Mansion House Hotel, Llangain Carmarthen SA33 5AJ on Friday 20th October 2017.  Pictured receiving their award from RW Brother Stephen Hookey  is the representative of the winning charity CalonnauCymru / Welsh Hearts, Mr Nick Aitkin who is the head of fund raising for the charity in North Wales.
 
Trevor Hills - 60 Years in Masonry
W Bro Trevor Hills received his 60 Year Certificate and Badge from the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, VW Bro Lionel Hughes at the October meeting of the Old Priory Lodge on Tuesday 17th October 2017. Click here to read the amazing life story of this dedicated mason.

Dr John B Lloyd Bursary 2017
Tom Nichols receives his cheque and certificate from W Bro Jeffrey Lewis, Assistant Provincial Grand Master
Tom Nichols is the recipient of this year’s Dr John B Lloyd Bursary Award. W Bro Jeffrey Lewis, Assistant Provincial Grand Master made the presentation on Thursday 19th October 2017, the award is made annually by the Provincial Grand Charity of the Masonic Province of West Wales to encourage worthy students to further their education. Tom is studying for a Masters in Environmental Management and hopes to become a consultant advising on the environmental impact of new buildings. He has already completed his first degree in Zoology, which he also studied for in Aberystwyth. We wish Tom every success for the future.

The Masonic Fishing Charity
“The Masonic Fishing Charity’s aim is to bring an interactive fishing and countryside experience to people with special needs”.
It achieves this by running fishing events, both coarse and fly, at various fisheries and inviting participants from special needs schools and centres and people who have suffered trauma to come and join in.
