1 Peter 2:9b " ... that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."
YOUTUBE
Whatever your interest, you can go online and find a YouTube video that covers it. My favorites are the ones that teach me how to do something beyond my expertise, like how to install front struts in a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix.
What about learning to share Jesus with others? Maybe we think that talking to others about Jesus is a difficult thing to do. Yes, a YouTube video might give some good tips on sharing our faith in our Savior. Talking to your pastor or a trusted Christian friend about how to witness would be an even better idea.
Yet sharing our faith is not something beyond the expertise of any Christian. It's simply a matter of telling what we know to be true from the Bible.
What do we know?
We know that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. We know the wages of sin is death. We know that he who does not believe in Christ will be eternally condemned.
More than that, we know that Christ gave His life a ransom for all. We know that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. We know that that, though the wages of sin is death, the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The believer in Christ is like a witness in a courtroom. We're witnesses, not lawyers. Unlike a lawyer, it's not our job to persuade anyone. God calls us to the stand to simply tell what we know. Tell your friends and neighbors that they have been declared "not guilty" of all sin in God's courtroom because Jesus lived, died and rose for them. Tell the simple truth of the Gospel, and then trust the Holy Spirit to do the convincing through that good news.
God has called you and me -- followers of Jesus -- to make known to the world His redeeming love for lost sinners. What an amazing message! It's a message that gives us God's everlasting peace through faith in Jesus. It's also a message that gives us the strong desire to tell others what we know. And, hey, if you have the ability, it might be a great idea to make a YouTube telling others of Jesus' forgiving love for all sinners.
