Roll Up, Roll Up! - Studio Group To Visit The Circus
|
Circomedia
The August Studio Group Meeting will be a repeat visit to Circomedia in Kingswood with two fantastic circus performers, Ellie and Rachel, who will demonstrate their skills in juggling, stilt walking, trapeze and acrobatics. This follows the recent visit to Circomedia when there were a number
of members who were interested but couldn't make the day or time, so Nick
has asked the girls at Circomedia if they would repeat the event,
which they are happy to do. There are 3 potential days in August when
either a morning or afternoon session could be organised. Nick has
therefore set up a Doodle Poll to find the most convenient day and time
for anyone who wants to come - please click here.
If this appeals to you, please show your availability on the poll and put your email address in the comments section and Nick will arrange a session and get back to you, the cost will be £30 and it should be a great session.

Applications for this year's Photography Course are now open, so if you know anyone who is interested in joining the course (which starts in September), get them to visit the Society website for full details. Alternatively they could come along to an open afternoon being held at 2pm this Sunday (17 July) at the clubrooms, when Society members will be on hand to explain what the course will involve.

TPOTY (Travel Photographer of the Year) exhibition is being held at the Stockwell Building, University of Greenwich until 4 September This is a new venue for this prestigious exhibition, which includes work from club member Sue O'Connell for the second year running. To see the full winners gallery, follow this link. Entry to the exhibition is free and details of opening hours and transport to Greenwich are available on the exhibition website. It's quite a long haul from central London but if you should find yourself in London with time on your hands and fancy a trip to Greenwich, the Thames Clipper ferry is recommended as the most enjoyable means of commuting (about 40 minutes from Embankment).
