A NEW PROTOTYPE OF HYBRID SOLAR VEHICLE ON TV
A new prototype of Hybrid Solar Vehicle is being developed within the Leonardo Project "Energy Conversion Systems and Their Environmental Impact", financed by the European Community. It will be presented at ODEON TV (Sky Channel 827, in Italy), Saturday, January 13, 2007, 1.30 PM (GMT +1).

A NEW RESEARCH PROJECT ON HYBRID SOLAR VEHICLES FINANCED
The Italian Ministry of University and research (MIUR) has financed a two years research program on "Integration of Photo-Voltaic Systems in Conventional and Hybrid Vehicles", coordinated by DIMEC of University of Salerno in cooperation with DIIIE (University of Salerno) and DIEES (University of Catania).

A PROJECT FOR THE SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY
The Leonardo Project "Energy Conversion Systems and Their Environmental Impact" aims to promote the knowledge of the students in the field of energy conversion and related environmental problems, with particular emphasis to sustainable transportation, by means of the active participation in a didactic project for the design and manufacturing of an innovative prototype of hybrid solar vehicle. The diffusion of this kind of vehicle could significantly contribute in reducing fossil fuel utilization and carbon dioxide emissions.
The project, promoted by Istituto Alfano I, Salerno (Italy) and coordinated by DIMEC & University of Salerno (Italy), includes a partnership of educational and training institutions, universities, SME's and research centres from Italy, France, Hungary, Romania and Turkey. It is sponsored by Automobile Club Salerno, Lombardini and Saggese.

SABATO 13 GENNAIO IL PROTOTIPO IN TV SU SKY E DOMENICA 14 A SALERNO ALL'ISTITUTO ALFANO I
Sabato 13 gennaio, alle 13.30, la trasmissione Rondò, in onda su ODEON TV, dedicherà un ampio servizio al prototipo di Veicolo Ibrido Solare, in corso di sviluppo nell'ambito del Progetto Leonardo "Energy Conversion Systems and Their Environmental Impact", finanziato dalla Comunità Europea. ODEON TV è visibile sulla piattaforma Sky, al canale 827. Le trasmissioni di Odeon sono riprese da numerose emittenti locali (Canale 6, Rete Oro, RTV 38, Telereporter Sud, Teleregione Puglia, Telecentro, Napoli Canale 21, Telereporter, Videonord, Video Novara, TeleMed, Tele Alto Veneto, Telegenova).
Domenica 14 gennaio, dalle 10.00 alle 12.30, il prototipo sarà a Salerno presso l'Istituto Alfano I (Via dei Mille), nell'ambito dell'Open Sunday dedicato all'accoglienza degli studenti e delle famiglie.

APPROVATO UN PROGETTO PRIN SUI VEICOLI IBRIDI SOLARI
Il Ministero della Università e della Ricerca (MIUR), nell'ambito dei Programmi di Ricerca Scientifica di Rilevante Interesse Nazionale (PRIN 2006), ha approvato il finanziamento del progetto di ricerca biennale dal titolo "Integrazione di sistemi fotovoltaici in autoveicoli convenzionali ed ibridi", coordinato dal DIMEC dell'Università di Salerno ed in collaborazione con il DIIIE dell'Università di Salerno e il DIEES dell'Università di Catania.

UN PROGETTO PER LA MOBILITA' SOSTENIBILE
Il Progetto Leonardo "Energy Conversion Systems and Their Environmental Impact" ha l'obiettivo di promuovere la conoscenza sui temi energetici, economici ed ambientali connessi al trasporto automobilistico ed alle energie rinnovabili attraverso la partecipazione allo sviluppo di un prototipo di veicolo ibrido solare. La diffusione di questi veicoli potrebbe dare concreti ed importanti contributi alla riduzione di consumi di combustibile e di emissioni di gas serra. Il progetto, promosso dall'Istituto Alfano I di Salerno e coordinato dal DIMEC dell'Università di Salerno, coinvolge un partenariato costituito da università, istituti di ricerca e formazione e imprese di Italia, Francia, Ungheria, Romania e Turchia, con il contributo di Automobile Club Salerno, Lombardini e Saggese.
