Dear industry professionals,
We are pleased to send you the June issue of our newsletter.
We have heard recently from Brussels clear messages for higher waste management targets. The mission of the new European Parliament is to adopt a package of measures, that will stimulate the development of circular economy potential. This concept will replace the model “take-make-consume and dispose” with  re-using, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products. Circular economy focuses on the new approaches for product  and packaging design, choice of materials with aim to extend product life cycle.
More efficient usage of resources  can bring net savings for EU business of up to EUR 600 billion, while also reducing total annual greenhouse gas emissions. Additional measures to increase resource productivity by 30% till 2030 could boost GDP by nearly 1%, while creating 2 million additional jobs.
At national level, member states are preparing for the next programming period.
In the context of these processes, the organization of 'Save the Planet' 2015 is underway. As always, the event will reflect the current trends, present a wide spectrum of waste management technologies and meet leading companies and experts from all over Europe.
Austria is a strategic partner of 'Save the Planet' 2015. The cooperation is supported by the Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy in Bulgaria. The country holds one of the top positions concerning the waste management. It recycles, composes and incinerates – 97 % of MSW.
