Dear Neighbors,
Tomorrow, December 7th, at 7 pm the Hoboken Planning Board will have its regular Planning Board meeting, via Zoom, at which there will be a presentation by the Hoboken Board of Education on its proposal for a new high school for the City, as well as other renovated educational facilities.
The Board of Education’s architects will make a courtesy presentation to the Planning Board, as the BOE is not seeking any approvals for its concepts at this time. The public will not be able to ask questions at the meeting tomorrow. However, the public will see and learn a lot about the BOE’s holistic plan the District is considering during this presentation.
The Board of Education’s proposal is much more than a "high school" and includes long-range facilities planning for the district and for our community. You will learn a lot from watching the BOE’s presentation to the Planning Board. Here is the link to the Planning Board meeting tomorrow night.
On December 14th, the following Tuesday, there will be a presentation on this plan at the Board of Education’s regular meeting at which the public is invited to participate and ask questions. There will be additional community meetings subsequent to the December 14th BOE meeting, as the community heads towards a referendum on this plan, scheduled for January 25, 2022.
As always, let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks!
